NIGHT SKY, DAY LIGHT

Moon surveys the sky

As it orbits the Earth

While the Earth rotates on its axis

Watches stars, comets, meteorites

Goes through phases

Full, half, quarter

Light given off

Waxes and wans

New moon

Emits no light

At all

Night is pitch black

Moon at rest

Sleeping

Sun stays stationary

As Earth rotates

On its axis

Revolves around the Sun

Sun shines all day

Rays warms the Earth

Surfaces

Sun never sleeps

LEAP YEAR

Every four years

An extra day

Is added

February 29

Do something special

Different

Plan ahead for

Three next four years

Do something you

Never done

Try something new

Do something you been

Meaning to do

Or just say in bed

Without feeling guilty

Comes once every

Four years

Make it meaningful

WALKING DEAD

Alive but dead

Do not think for yourself

Do not question

Walking dead

Want to belong

Do not make your own decisions

Go to the world of drugs, alcohol

Just to belong

Walking dead

Whether you agree

Or not

Follow the pack

Afraid to be alone

Join the masses

Follower, not a leader

Alive

But

Walking dead
